Mississauga promotes diversity and inclusion by leading the World Peace Pole project.

Local resident, Imran Hasan was invited by Pastor, Peter Lisinski of the Meadowvale Lutheran Church to help plant the Peace Pole in celebration of World Peace Day on September 22nd, 2007.
